26 forensic-experts from Tbilisi Expert-Forensic Department and regional units of the MIA participated in five day training on crime scene investigation held in Batumi.
The training was conducted by experts from Georgia State Bureau of Investigation by organization of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
The training included both theoretical and practical sessions. The aim of the training was to familiarize forensic-experts with the methods of crime scene investigation, in particular, documentation, records keeping, drawings and photographing.
After completing the training course, forensic-experts were awarded relevant certificates.
Similar trainings for the employees of the MIA are scheduled to be held in future also. 106 forensic-experts have already completed retraining courses on crime scene investigation.
