The officers of the Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained senior specialist of Infrastructure, Architecture planning and construction service of Akhalkalaki municipality- Arutun Iritsian on the fact of accepting bribe.
Investigation established that by misusing official duties Arutun Iritsian authorized the start of the construction works before granting the citizen the building permit and in return demanded and accepted 1200 US Dollars. Arutun Iritsian was detained and accused of bribery.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of accepting bribe, article 338, I part of the Criminal Code, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment. Investigation is conducted by Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
