The officers of Kakheti regional division of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained many times convicted Vasil A. (DoB 1967) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms.
Police detained Vasil A. in the taxi on Telavai-Gombori road sector. During the personal search of the detainee police seized unregistered AKC-74 automatic weapon with cartridge and “Nagan” type revolver. According to the expertise the seized weapons are usable. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms, article 236, I and III parts of the Criminal Code.
