The officers of Central Criminal Police Department, as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Giorgi S. (DoB 1979) for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms. The mentioned person was detained in his vehicle on Gudamakari Street, Tbilisi.
During the searching activities held in the detainee’s vehicles law enforcers seized two “Korovini” pistols with two magazines and 26 bullets. In the apartments of Giorgi S. police also seized three revolvers, 7 bullets “Smitvesson” revolvers, 26 bullets, “Mosini” rifle and one bullet for carabine.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms, article 236, I part, envisaging three years of imprisonment.
