The officers of central Criminal Department of Shida Kartli Regional Police Division, as a result of operative-searching activities detained 5 persons: Malkhaz G. (DoB 1956), Zurab L. (DoB 1979), Tariel K. (DoB 1962), David G. (DoB 1989) and Otar L. (DoB 1956) for illegal selling of firearms and ammunition.
Investigation established, that the detainees have been purchasing “Gloki” system firearms, registered them officially and illegally sold the abovementioned firearms to the residents of occupied territory. The law enforcers detained the accused persons in the village Kitsnisi, Gori region. All detainees have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal selling of firearms and ammunition (article 236, part III of the Criminal Code which envisages from 5 to 8 years of imprisonment).
