The officers of the IV Unit of the Detectives Division, Tbilisi Police Department of the MIA, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Giorgi K. (D.o.B.: 1974) in Tbilisi.
During searching activities held in detainee’s apartment the law enforcers seized 3 automatic weapons, 2 pistols, a knife, 7 cartridges and 131 bullets.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition (the crime envisaged by the II part of the article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
