The officers of Detectives Division of Ajara Main Division as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Khusni M. (DoB 1961) in Khelvachauri for illegal purchase and keeping of explosive materials, Npreviously convicted Nugzar P. (DoB 1964) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs and several times convicted in past Abdul P. (DoB 1940 who was detained in Batumi) for illegal purchase, carrying and keeping of firearms and armament as well as drugs.
During the searching activities held in Khusni M’s warehouse located in the orchard of his house police seized explosive materials. According to expertise the seized explosive material is high explosive TNT, which is 578gr in total as well as 4 kg and 344 gr of TNT and nitrate. During the search held in Abdul P’s vehicle, house and personal search police seized revolver with 7 bullets, TOZ 8M rifle and 10,083 gr of marijuana. During the personal search of Nuzgar P. police detected drug substance wrapped in 14 packages which according to expertise is 23, 167 gr of marijuana.
Investigation is in progress against Khusni M. under the article 236, I part, Abdul P. -236 I and II parts and article 260 I part, Nugzar P. – 260 I part of the Criminal Code.
