The officers of the Third Unit of Old Tbilisi Division of Tbilisi Police Department along with the officers of the Third Unit of Isani-Samgori Division of MIA as a result of operative-searching and investigational activities detained Revaz K. (DoB: 1990) on the charges of robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
The investigation established that on March 14, 2016, at night Revaz K. illegally penetrated the house belonging to Zaza Ts. in Zandukeli street, Tbilisi and threatening with a cold arms stole golden ring belonging to Ketevan I. (value of a ring – 200 GEL), 2 expensive mobile phones, notebook (value of a notebook – 400 US dollars) and rare medals. Revaz K. illegally restricted freedom to five persons, including one child. During a verbal and physical confrontation with a criminal body injuries with a knife were inflicted to Zaza Ts. and his spouse Ketevan I. The accused managed to escape with the stolen items. The victims were given medical assistance in the hospital; currently their health conditions is stable.
As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities the law enforcers detained Revaz K. in a few hours in Beri Gabriel Salosi st, Tbilisi. The weapon of a crime - 2 knives and 210 GEL were seized as material evidences. The investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery and unlawful imprisonment (Article 179, part III, sub-clause "c" and Article 143, part II, sub-clause "c" and part III, sub-clause "c" and "d").
