The officers of Vake-Saburtalo Seventh Unit of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with the officers of the Patrol Police Department as a result of immediate operative and investigative activities detained previously convicted Lasha I. (DoB: 1977) for theft.
The investigation established that the detainee in Tashkent str., Tbilisi broke rear windows of two vehicles, managed to get into the passenger compartment and robbed them. The law enforcers detained Shalva I. at the crime scene and seized the stolen items as material evidences.
The relevant expertise is appointed; upon announcing the results of an expertise Shalva I. might be charged on similar crimes as well. The detainees has pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of theft (Article 177, part III, sub-paragraph “d” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
