The officers of Senaki Regional Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the MIA as a result of the operative-searching activities detained previously convicted Baadur Ts. (DoB 1982) in Senaki for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms.
During the personal search of a detainee the law enforcers seized "ATMACA-2004-LIGT" - pistol, 1 cartridge and 3 bullets. The investigation established that on March 23, 2016 the detainee damaged the vehicle of a civilian by shooting from the submachine gun. Police seized the weapon of the crime - "AKM" model submachine gun, 1 cartridge and 2 bullets from the house of Baadur Ts.`s aunt as material evidences. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and damaging another person's property (Article 236, parts II – III and Article 187, part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
