The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with penitentiary department of the Ministry of Corrections of Georgia, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, exposed and detained employee of penitentiary department-Paata Lomidze on the fact of bribery
Investigation established that Paata Lomidze during fulfilling his duties and by misusing his powers, demanded from the citizen 4000 GEL in exchange for the permit to illegally bring mobile ohone and SIM card in N19 penitentiary facility.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery, article 338, I part. The committed crime envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
