The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the operative-investigative activities detained Z.B. (DoB 1983) and previously convicted R.G. (DoB 1969) in Tbilisi for the membership of the criminal world.
Investigation established that Z.B. extorted cash on the regular basis from the driver of the mini bus, owned by “Capital Group” LTD in return for being employed. In January of the current year the driver refused to pay Z.B. in order to resolve the situation, Z.B. contacted member of the criminal world R.G. and asked for help.
It was also established that on January 17 R.G. and Z.B. organized “criminal skirmish” in one of the apartments located in Gldani settlement, Tbilisi for re-gaining benefits and maintaining influence on the victim. Detainees contacted abroad living thief in law –L.KH. who, after having listened to the both sides, determined that the victim still had to pay Z.B. certain amount of cash.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of the membership of the criminal world, article 223, I part of the Criminal Code.
