The officers of Detectives Division and Vake-Saburtalo Division of Tbilisi Police Department as a result of the immediate operative-searching and investigative activities detained Giorgi Q. (D.o.B.: 1987) for premeditated murder and Jambulat D (D.o.B.: 1986) for failure to report crime.
Investigation established that the detainee inflicted the injury in breast area with a cold steel to Mindia B (D.o.B.: 1987) on February 9, in the early morning in Tbilisi, in the vicinity of Petritsi street. The victim died immediately upon his transfer to the hospital. The accused and Jambulat D., who accompanied the deceased and witnessed the crime fled from the scene. Jambulat D did not report the crime to the police and tried to leave the country.
Police officers detained Jambulat D several hours later in Tbilisi. Giorgi Q was detained on the next day in Ninotsminda village, Sagarejo region.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder and failure to report crime (articles 108 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
