The officers of Tetritskaro Regional Division of Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative measures detained Gocha N. (DoB: 1984) for the attempted stealing, while Guram A. (doB: 1975) and Jemal A. (DoB: 1986) were detained for stealing.
On Marabda- Kartsakhi railway line Gocha N. along with two accomplices illegally cut down 500 meters of copper cable and prepared it to be taken. The law enforcers detained Gocha N. at the scene; the accomplices managed to escape.
As a result of immediate operative-searching measures carried out by the police both accomplices were detained in a few hours at Tsalka-Tetritskaro highway. Guram A. and Jemal A. has admitted that a few days ago stole 200 meters of copper cable from Marabda-Kartsakhi railway line and concealed it in an abandoned building in the vicinity of the house of one of the detainees in Tsalka. The law enforcers seized the stolen cable as a material evidence. All three detainees have pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress for the attempted stealing and stealing (Sub clause “a” of the 3rd part of the Article 177 and sub clause “a” of the parts 2 and 3 of the Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
