The officers of Kvareli Regional Division and Kakheti Regional Main Division of the MIA as a result of joint operative-investigative activities detained previously convicted Shalva S. (DoB 1963) for premeditated murder committed in the family.
The investigation established that in the village Akhalsopeli, Kvareli Region, the accused as a result of a conflict caused multiple stabs with a cold arm to his spouse Lali T. (DoB: 1965) and disappeared. The wounded woman died at the scene.
As a result of immediate operative-investigative activities Shalva S. was detained in a few minutes at the bus station in the village of the village Akhalsopeli while he tried to escape. The weapon of a crime – knife – was seized as a material evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress over the fact of premeditated murder (Articles 111 and 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
