The officers of Kvemo Kartli Division of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information, detained previously convicted for hooliganism- Isa G. (DoB 1967) at Marneuli bus station for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
Law enforcers detained Isa G. on the attempt to send the parcel to the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the personal search of the detainee police seized 57,191 gr of narcotic hidden in the food products. According to the results of expertise the seized substance contains 19,6549 gr of heroin. Drug test revealed that Isa G. was under the influence of drugs in the moment of detention.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
