The officers of Zestaphoni Police division of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Regional Main Division on the basis of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities, detained Petre Ph. (DoB 1973) convicted before for committing grave crimes in connection with rape case of underage person.
Investigation established that on May 31 the accused raped his co-villager girl in village Tskhratskaro, Zestaphoni region and fled from the crime scene. The law enforcers detained Petre Ph. in Tbilisi. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of rape of underage person (Article 137, part 5 of Criminal Code of Georgia) that envisages from 15 to 20 years of imprisonment.
