The officers of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Davit M. (DoB 1957) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 15 packages and one piece of the drug, which according to expertise contains 3,7671 gr of methadone. Drug test revealed that Davit M. was the consumer of methadone. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
