The officers of Khelvachauri police unit of Ajara Regional Main Division as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained Mamuka O. (DoB 1972) for illegal purchase and keeping and smuggling of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia. The mentioned persons were detained in vicinities of Sarpi border checkpoint.
During the personal search police seized 6,61gr of drug which contains 1,127gr of heroin. Drug test revealed that detainees were drug-addicted persons. They have already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping and smuggling of drugs in especially large quantities on the territory of Georgia.
