The officers of Ajara Police Regional Main Division along with Khelvachauri police as a result of jointly conducted operative-searching and investigative activities detained Nodar Z. (DoB 1983) for illegal purchase and keeping drugs in especially large quantities and illegal transit to Georgia though Sarpi border checkpoint.
During the personal search police seized 16 packages of drug, which according to expertise contains 2,5476gr of heroin.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping drugs in especially large quantities and illegal transit to Georgia (article 260 III part, sub-paragraph A and article 262 IV part sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code).
