The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained two members of the criminal group: Turkish citizen Murat A. (DoB 1978) and Georgian citizen Genadi B. (DoB 1982) in Batumi for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs in especially large quantities.
Murat A. was detained by the law enforcers in the moment of selling 60,144 gr of drug, which according to expertise contains 18,0432 gr of pure heroin. Police also seized 20 thousand US dollars obtained as a result of drug selling. During searching activities held in Genadi B’s house police detected 4,17 gr of drug, containing 1,251 gr of pure heroin .
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase, keeping and selling of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, II part, sub-paragraph B and III part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division.
