The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities detained previously convicted D.T. (DoB 1969) and citizen of Azerbaijan B.E. (DoB 1984) in Tbilisi for extortion perpetrated in group.
Investigation established that detainees extorted cash in the amount of 2000 USD from B.M. (DoB 1986) under the threats of liquidation. Policemen managed to detain the mentioned persons before they actually managed to extort money.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of extortion perpetrated in group, article 181, Ii part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
