The officers of Isani-Samgori police division, as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Bachana T. (DoB 1998) in Tbilisi for extortion.
Investigation established that Bachana T. created “facebook” account with fictional name by means of which he contacted two under aged girls through the social network, introduced himself as the model studio manager and proposed to send pictures for participation in the “online contest”. For certain amount of cash, detainee promised the victims to involve them in the contest in case of successful casting. Victims sent personal photos in bathing suites. After the mentioned, detainee demanded 100 GEL from each victim, otherwise threatened to publish photos. One of the victims paid 50 GEL, while from other victim Bachana T. received 70 GEL and “Canon” photo camera.
During the personal search of the detainee, policemen seized cash received through illegal actions, while as a result of the search held in his apartment law enforcers seized his personal computer as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of extortion, article 181, I part of the Criminal Code.
