The officers of Guria Police and Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of joint searching and investigative activities carried out on the basis of operative information detained previously multiple convicted Seit S (DoB: 1989) on the fact of robbery.
The investigation established that on November 28, 2015 masked and armed Seit S. along with two accomplices entered the house of Zaal M. in Gogebashvili Street, Chokhataruri, physically assaulted family members and extorted money and valuables at gunpoint. Later Seit S. and his associates hijacked the vehicle of Zaal M. and escaped from the scene. The police seized the car in Samtredia in two days after the incident.
As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities the law enforcers detained Seit S. in his house in Kutaisi. Operative-searching activities aimed at detention of his accomplices are in progress.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal entry into a dwelling place committed in group (part II, sub-clause “b” and part III, sub-clause “b” of the Article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
