Based on the operative information the officers of Sighnaghi police division of Kakheti Regional Main Division, as a result of investigative activities, detained Vakhtang Z. (DoB 1971) in Tsnori for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in detainee’s house and barn, law enforcers seized 329 bullets, A-KA-74 unregistered automatic weapon with three cartridges, one RGD type anti-tank hand grenade with detonating fuse and one fuse of the fragmenting hang grenade.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
