The officers of the Batumi police division of Adjara police department as a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities detained J.M. (DoB 1991) for armed robbery on the basis of the court decision. Investigation established that on December 31, 2016 detainee, dressed in Santa Claus uniform, broke into currency exchange booth and appropriated 8 820 GEL under the pressure of the toy shaped as pistol.
Law enforcers managed to detain J.M. in Batumi. He has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of armed robbery, article 179 III part, sub-paragraph C of the Criminal Code.
