The officers of Khelvachauri Regional Division of Adjara A/R Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, as a result of investigative and searching activities held on the basis of the operative information detained in the vicinity of Sarpi checkpoint N.Sh. (D.o.B.: 1978) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.
The law enforcers during the personal search of a detainee seized 50 pills of so-called “ecstasy”, which, according to the expertize, contained 7,4071 “MDMA” drug. The detainee has pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities (Article 260, sub clause “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
