The officers of Ajara Patrol Police Division detained Turkish citizen Iusup O. (DoB 1961) at Sarpi port of entry for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs is large quantity and smuggling on the territory of Georgia.
As a result of the searching activities held in detainee’s truck law enforcers seized 9600 pills of “Tramadol” drug which according to the results of expertise contains 480 gr of “Tramadol”. Investigation established that the mentioned vehicle was heading towards Armenia through the transit route.
Investigation is in progress on the fact illegal import to or export from, or international transit shipment across Georgia, of narcotics, analogy or precursor thereof, article 262, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
