The officers of Tbilisi Bureau of Interpol and Ajara Patrol Police at “Sarpi” port of entry, as a result of jointly held activities detained Turkish citizen Mehmeet Barak (DoB 1979) wanted under the red notice by Bucharest Bureau of Interpol from 21.01.2010.
Mehmet Barak is accused under the article 197 of Romanian criminal code, article 197 which implied rape.
On November2, 2004 Mehmet Barak forcibly made the victim to have sexual contact with him.
At this moment Mehmet Barak is under arrest and placed at Ajara-Guria temporary detention center, while pre-extradition procedures are underway.
