MIA football team became the champion of the amateur tournament NATO Cup 2017. The championship was held within the frames of NATO days, which was organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Information Center of NATO and EU.
Tournament was held on 4-8 April with the support of Georgian Football federation at the Olympic Village located in Dighomi. The tournament involved 32 teams from the various government agencies, diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and media representatives.
Football team of the Patrol Police Department held final match with the team from the Revenue Service with a final score 3:1.
The winner’s Cup was handed over to MIA team by the State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Viktor Dolidze and Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Tariel Khechikashvili.
Winners were awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture with wine manufactured in Georgia.
