Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri met Captain Levan Gigilashvili- officer of patrol Police Department and congratulated with winning in Europe Championship in triathlon. Minister handed over firearm to the police officer as a gift. Patrol Police officer won the gold medal at the Europe’s championship, held in Czech Republic. Levan Gigileishvili competed in 83 kg weight category. He took the first place and improved the record with 7 kg achieved earlier by Russian sportsman. Levan Gigileishvili is an international master of sports and earned various titles, such as: world champion, owner of the World Cup, champion of Georgia for 12 times. According to the results reached in 2012 took the fourth place among Geoegian sportsmen in non-olympic sporting varieties.
