With the initiative of the MIA Academy, Georgia is hosting representatives of the training centers/police academies of the law enforcement bodies of Eastern Partnership countries on the international conference - “career development in the police system”
Deputy Minister of Internal affairs, Ms Nino Javakhadze, and the Rector of MIA Academy, Mr. Givi Mikanadze opened the conference.
The goal of the conference is to share experience and enhance cooperation between the training centers/police academies of the law enforcement bodies of Eastern Partnership Countries as well as improving professional training and career development system for police officers.
Within the frames of 2-day conference experts from the Netherlands, Austria, Lithuania and Czech Republic will present different systems of career development and police education based on the successful models of European countries.
Rectors from the academies of 5 Eastern Partnership States, with respective delegations will attend the conference, together with representatives from the MIA Academy, International Relations Department, Research and Development Department, Legal Department, and Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The international conference is organized within the frames of Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) instrument of the European Commission.
