The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili held a meeting with Mrs. Martina Quick, the Ambassador of Sweden to Georgia.
At the meeting the issues of the existing and planned bilateral cooperation existing between Georgia and Sweden were discussed.
The Minister of Internal Affairs expressed hope that the relations between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Sweden will be further developed through bilateral contacts, agreements and Interpol.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili and Mrs. Martina Quick talked about the Visa Liberalization Action Plan, successfully implemented by Georgia. The parties underlined the importance of joint measures in combat illegal migration and organized crime.
Mrs. Martina Quick reiterated the support of the Sweden Government to Georgia’s aspiration for European integration.
