The Delegation headed by the Director of the International Relations Department of the Turkish National Police paid a three-day-visit to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia on September 14th.
During the visit the representatives of the International Relations Department, the Central Criminal Police Department, MIA Academy, the Patrol Police Department and the Expert Forensic Main Division hold meetings with the experts of Turkish National Police.
Main purpose of the meeting was to increase mutual cooperation in fighting trafficking in drugs.
Turkish side got acquainted with Georgian law on narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The parties also discussed the strategies of fight against narcotics trafficking and plans of future cooperation.
The Turkish Delegation visited forensic laboratory of the Ministry and the Vale Border Crossing Point.
