The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to hold informative meetings in schools within the framework of the information-cognitive campaign - "Befriend the Police".
Representatives of various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held meetings with students in public schools N11 and N142 in Tbilisi, as well as in schools of Akhaltsikhe and Kvemo Chali villages of Kaspi Municipality in Shida Kartli region.
The purpose of informational meetings is to raise awareness among schoolchildren on public safety and rule of law, as well as prevention of crimes committed by and against under-aged persons.
Employees of the Patrol Police, Criminal Police, Public Safety Command Center "112", Emergency Situations Management Service, and the Human Rights Protection and Quality Investigation Monitoring Department provided juveniles with information on various topics relevant to them regarding law and order, including children's rights, early marriage and about its harm, bullying, violence and organized crime. At the meetings, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented special video depicting the activities of various structural units of the agency.
The meetings were held in Q &A format. The law enforcement officers provided comprehensive answers to all questions raised at the meeting.
The representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informational and cognitive meetings in schools continue and will be held gradually in different schools throughout the country.
