Employees of the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Patrol Police Department and Academy of the MIA underwent a training course on traffic safety issues.
The training was led by representatives of the police and fire-rescue forces from Krakow, Poland.
The theoretical part of the training was held at the MIA Academy, the practical part was conducted at the base of the Main Division of Emergency Response of the Emergency Management Agency. The participants discussed such important issues, as: responding to road accidents and providing first aid to injured persons; polish experience in traffic safety; police activities aimed at ensuring traffic safety; coordination between police and rescue units during traffic accidents, etc.
Closing ceremony was attended by the Police Liaison Officer of Poland to Georgia and high level representatives of the Academy, Patrol Police Department and the Emergency Management Agency of the MIA, who awarded the certificates to the participants.
The training was conducted in the framework of a project funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland - "Training Course for the improvement of road traffic safety and strengthening the Patrol Police and the Crisis Management Services of Georgia”.
