Employees of Strategic Pipelines Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are undergoing winter training course. The training is held in Bakuriani within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense and is led by the instructors of Colone, Besik Kutateladze Sachkhere Mountain Training School.
During the training, the employees of the department will learn shooting in high mountains, orientation according to the location, finding first aid for the injured, utilizing evacuation means, methods of searching for a person trapped in an avalanche, arranging a shelter in the snow, operating in extremely cold conditions and technical skiing in untracked snow.
The purpose of the training course is to improve mountain skills and raise the qualifications of employees of Strategic Pipelines Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
