We would like to respond to the information spread by the news agency "Mountain stories" alleging that several workers died and some were injured in Kvesheti-Kobi tunnel.
In connection with the mentioned allegations, yesterday the author of the article published in "Mountain stories" news agency contacted the representative of the Strategic Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who informed the author that no such fact had occurred. Nevertheless, "Mountain stories" published an article on the death and injuries of workers in Kvesheti-Kobi tunnel as a result of gas leakage.
As it is known, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure did not confirm the fact of death and injury of workers as a result of gas leakage in Kvesheti-Kobi tunnel.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on the spread information will make relevant measures within the scope of its mandate.
