Within the frames of EU "TAIEX" instrument, experts from Latvian Police College visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The opening ceremony of the event at MIA Police Academy was attended by the head of International Relations Department of MIA- Shalva Kvinikhidze, Rector of Police Academy- Nukri Gelashvili and Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Latvia Elite Gevele.
During the visit experts discussed judicial basics for mass management, role of police during special operations, including risk assessment, co-operation with organizers as well as protection of human rights, management of sport events and issue of trainings for policemen. Experts also reviewed specific activities of certain police units responsible for mass management in Latvia.
In the mentioned training which was held at MIA Police Academy representatives from Special Tasks Department, Patrol Police and Central Criminal Police Department took part.
