In terms of high public interest, we inform that the officers of the Central Criminal Police of the MIA have initiated investigation on the basis of the information received regarding illegal purchase, storage and carry of firearm, the crime envisaged by the parts II and III of the article 236, the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Within the framework of the investigation, in terms of the urgent necessity the house of Davit J. (D.o.B.: 1989) was searched.
No one is arrested at this stage of investigation. Davit J. has been interviewed as a witness.
It should also be emphasized that these investigative-operational measures are not linked to any media mean. The operative information concerned the possible certain offense associated with a family member of the representative of the mass media.
