Regarding the gatherings planned in Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia on May 9, 2019, we would like to inform the public that Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will ensure public order in the places of gatherings. The police will ensure enforcement of law in relation to every person whose actions goes beyond the freedom of expression and the requirements of the law.
We would like to remind everyone, that according to the law of Georgia ``Freedom Charter``, it is prohibited to use any kind of symbols, associated with communist, totalitarian or fascist ideology and propaganda. Therefore, Ministry of Internal Affairs urges everyone to act in line with the requirements of the law, otherwise the police will implement respective measures prescribed by Georgian legislation.
