Ministry of Internal affairs has not initiated any investigation into the case of the so called surgical masks action. The agency received three written statements from the citizens, claiming that cultural monuments and statues of public figures in various districts of Tbilisi were adorned with the surgical masks. Based on the mentioned statements, the fact was studied by Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry, which established that the facts indicated in the statement do not contain any signs of the crime. Therefore, no investigation was launched regarding the case on which the statement authors were informed.
