On November 29 Criminal Police Department of the National Police under the Ministry of Interior of Spain along with MIA Central Criminal Police of Georgia and with the active involvement of Georgian police attache to Spain, members of organized criminal group were exposed and detained.
Large-scale special operations were held simultaneously in Madrid and Barcelona as a result of which 23 persons were detained, including 19 Georgian citizens.
Detainees are accused of being members of the organized-criminal group, apartment burglaries and money laundering.
In the course of investigation Spanish law enforcers seized cash in large quantities and stolen items as evidence.
