The officers of Adjara police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Turkish citizen F.O. (DoB 1982) in Kobuleti for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms, ammunition and explosives.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized 1 hand grenade and 40 bullets. During the search activities held in detainee’s place of temporary residence located in Batumi law enforcers seized AKA-74 with cartridge and 18 bullets.
Law enforcers also discovered a secret cache in Kvirike village, distrust Kobuleti where three AKA 74 and AKM 74 automatic weapons were seized as well as 198 bullets and hand grenade.
According to expertise the seized armament, explosives and ammunition are suitable for shooting.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms, ammunition and explosives, article 236, II and III part of the criminal Code.
