On October 21 at 13:00 on Chavchavadze Str. in Tetritskaro car accident occurred at the adjacent territory of the polling station. BMW car, driven by the majoritarian candidate of Tetritskaro municipality from the United National Movement’s Party (UNM), violated the rules of road safety. Namely, while reversing the car he hit the car being under the ownership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The employees of the General Inspection of the Ministry were driving this car. Hereby, we would like to note that the employees of the General Inspection conduct permanent monitoring of the police forces stationed at the perimeter of a polling station in order to prevent any misconduct by police officers. The driver, the majoritarian candidate of Tetritskaro municipality from the United National Movement’s Party (UNM), who participated in the car accident and whose guilt was ascertained on the basis of the relevant measures conducted at the place of accident and after interviewing the eyewitnesses, was fined 250 GEL in accordance with Paragraph 10 of the Article 125 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Georgia.
