Fire-extinguishing works on Shavnabada Mountain in Khulo region are held intensively. At this moment, more than 200 firefighters and employees of Special Tasks Department are deployed at the place. Under the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, helicopters will be involved in the operation.
Fire-extinguishing works are also actively in progress in Telavi municipality, near to Artana village, where hundreds of MIA employees are mobilized. Three helicopters are also involved in the activities.
In the forest located near Khakhabo village, Tusheti, there is no need to involve helicopters in the operation at this moment. Main fire pockets have already been localized. Fire-extinguishing works are being held by the live force with alternate fire-extinguishing equipment
Firefighting activities are still in progress in Shilda forest, where rescuers and firefighters are conducting fire-preventive activities.
