In connection with the car accident that took place on Rustaveli Avenue on January 24, investigation was launched under the article 276, V part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Within the frames of the investigation special trace evidence, auto-technical and forensic medical expertise are scheduled to be held, base of the results of which investigative bodies will have enough evidences in order to exercise activities against the person responsible for the mentioned car accident defined by the law.
As for the three drives who were involved in the car crash, all of them have been interrogated by the police as witnesses.
Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to clarify that according to the existing law only after completion of the expertise it will be possible to reveal the person responsible for the car crash, as it is stated in the law.
Ministry of Internal Affairs will make a maximum effort to have the results of investigation in a short period of time and bring the guilty one to the criminal justice.
