Officers of the First Unit of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs solved one more high-profile murder committed in Tbilisi.
Law enforcers, as a result of operative-investigative activities, accused in absentia G.Ch – date of birth: 1981, with multiple previous convictions, currently serving conditional sentence. The crime committed by him envisages the term of imprisonment from 7 to 15 years. The court sentenced the accused to imprisonment as a preventive measure. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the search on G.Ch.
The police is carrying out intensive investigative actions on this fact. Tens of people were interviewed as witnesses. The investigation found that the defendant shot dead N.K on March 21, 2013 at 13:30 in the apartment in Chabua Amirejibi Street N1 and inflicted bodily injury to the woman – T.B – being in the same apartment.
According to the investigation, after fleeing from the scene, the defendant threw away the weapons of crime - 2 pistols of Makarov and Beretta systems in order to conceal the signs of crime. The firearms were seized by the police as evidences and are subjected to the appropriate expertise.
At this time, proper operational operations are underway to locate and arrest G.Ch.
