Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia and Mr. Giorgi Gakharia, the Vice-Premier and the Minister of Internal Affairs opened the Patrol Police Unified Service Center at the premises of the Ministry (Noe Ramishvili #38) in Tbilisi. The Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs had a tour around the Center and became one of the first customers of the services.
The newly created center is the main component of the ongoing reform in the Patrol Police Department. The reforms carried out in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in previous years mainly touched upon the front office of the patrol police, while the administrative works in the "back office" were still performed in old "paper" system.
The new Center of Patrol Police has replaced the so called "12th Room". At the first stage, the Unified Service Center, instead of 4 different places, will provide citizens with police service in a single space.
Patrol Police Service Unified Center is one of the most modern police service centers in the region where the services shall be provided with "one-window" principle, in particular: cancellation or substitution with penalty of a decision on suspension of driving license, delivery of found number plate, consent on transportation of vehicle transferred to a special parking lot; totally up to 50 police services will be available. The Center shall also operate the Corner of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will offer citizens certain services of the Service Agency.
The new Center is equipped with modern infrastructure that adapts to persons with disabilities, the visitors' queue management, electronic signature and information technology systems.
The Center has also introduced the e-application system, which excludes previously established practice of manual completing applications and complaints.
The information call center - 2 41 42 42 is launched, which will provide the citizens with all necessary information and will ensure operative delivery of certain services to the citizens.
Through the implementation of this project, the efficiency of delivering police services will be significantly increased, while the time of receiving the desired service will be decreased.
After opening the Center, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs got acquainted with the new technical equipment of Patrol Police and the improved parameters of shoulder cameras.
Within the frames of the Patrol Police reform and taking into consideration the international trends the patrol-inspectors are being equipped with modern technologies. New cameras are characterized by much more improved parameters than the existing ones, including long-term work and recording modes, as well as centralized management and data storage capabilities.
At the first stage, new shoulder cameras were handed over to patrol inspectors of Tbilisi (at the next stage they will be distributed to the crews in regions, in total, 2280 cameras).
