The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 3 persons on the fact of resisting a police officer committed in group. The detainees are as follows: V.G.(DoB1979), G.U. (DoB 1990) and G.U. (DoB 1992).
The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the detainees resisted and physically assaulted the police officers on April 17 of the current year, while responding to the fact of violation of the law in Khaishi. As a result of the incident one police officer was injured, who was given first aid, his health condition is normal at the moment.
Police arrested the accused persons in Khaishi shortly after crime was committed.
Investigative and procedural measures are underway to arrest others involved in the crime.
Investigation on the fact of resisting a police officer committed in group is in progress under article 353, Part II of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
